Akpabio – Insecurity will stop in Nigeria two weeks after election
Nigeria’s Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has sparked widespread reactions after speaking on the current security situation in the country. According to him, the rise in insecurity is linked to the ongoing political season. He explained that as elections approach, tensions tend to increase, which can affect stability in some areas.In his words:“Insecurity is increasing because election is coming, because people don’t know what to do again. Immediately after election, two weeks after election, the insecurity will stop. Alleged coup plotters: Families protest at National Assembly
The families of the detained officers accused of a coup attempt against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu yesterday protested at the National Assembly. Fraud Case: El-Rufai taken back to custody
Operatives of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) yesterday returned former Kaduna State Governor Mallam Nasir El-Rufai to their custody after the resumed hearing of his bail application at the Federal High Court in Kaduna.The court adjourned hearing of the bail application filed by former Kaduna State Governor till today.
