Presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Atiku Abubakar, had promised to reinstate subsidy payment if elected in next year’s presidential election because, according to him, the money made from the removal of fuel subsidy has not been accounted for by the Tinubu administration. President Bola Tinubu, in a response to the allegation, said it smacked of ignorance. But Atiku insisted in a fresh statement yesterday that the federal government got it all wrong on its intervention in the oil sector.
