Ondo police arrest father for brutalising 10-year-old daughter with hot iron
The police in Ondo State have arrested a man, Amos Paul, for allegedly burning his 10-year-old daughter’s private parts with a hot pressing iron to punish her for bedwetting. Ayemafuge learnt that the incident occurred in Unaun, Upenme in Owo Local Government Area, and has sparked widespread public condemnation. A statement by the spokesperson for the Ondo State Police Command, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, said the incident was reported to the Police on Thursday. “The victim sustained severe injuries and was immediately rushed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Owo, where she is currently receiving medical treatment. “Upon receipt of the information, detectives from ‘A’ Division, Owo, swiftly mobilized to the scene, arrested the suspect without delay and took him into custody. “The case is being transferred to the Gender Unit for discreet investigation and further necessary action in line with […]
