Six Arraigned Over Alleged N200 Million Cocoa Theft in Ondo
Six individuals have been arraigned before an Ondo State court over the alleged theft of cocoa valued at approximately N200 million. The defendants were brought before the court on charges bordering on conspiracy, theft, and related offences following an investigation into the reported disappearance of large quantities of cocoa products. According to the prosecution, the suspects allegedly conspired to steal cocoa worth about N200 million from a warehouse and subsequently disposed of the products without authorization. Authorities said investigations were launched after the owner reported the incident to security agencies. During the court proceedings, the charges were read to the defendants, who entered their pleas before the court.
