Tragedy: Abducted Ondo farmer dies in captivity

An abducted female farmer from the Parubber community in the Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State has tragically died in captivity. The deceased, one of two farmers abducted, died in the forest despite a 72-hour rescue operation by security operatives. Our correspondent reports that the victims were working on their farms along Ondo-Ife Road when gunmen whisked them into a forest and demanded a N100 million ransom from their families. The State Commander of Amotekun Corps, Adetunji Adeleye, made the disclosure on Monday in a chat with journalists in Akure.
