NPC chairman dies at 66, eight months after assuming office

The Chairman of the National Population Commission(NPC), Dr Aminu Yusuf Wushishi, is dead. Wushishi died on Friday at the age of 66. His death has thrown his associates and political circles into mourning. Wushishi, a former Secretary of the Niger State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, was said to have taken ill shortly before his death. The NPC chairman’s Special Adviser on Media, Stanley Nwosu, confirmed the incident. “Yes, it is true. The NPC chairman died after a brief illness,” Nwosu said.
