World’s youngest traditional ruler, King Oyo Nyimba dies at 34

King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, who became the world’s youngest reigning traditional ruler after ascending the throne at just three years old, has died in Uganda at the age 34 years. The monarch of the Tooro Kingdom in western Uganda died on Thursday. The kingdom’s Prime Minister, Calvin Armstrong Rwomiire Akiiki, announced his death on Friday. According to BBC, the cause of the monarch’s death was not disclosed. However, Ugandan media quoted a government minister as saying the monarch had been critically ill and was receiving treatment in the United States.
