Tragedy: Abducted Ondo farmer dies in captivity

An abducted female farmer from the Parubber community in the Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State has tragically died in captivity. The deceased, one of two farmers abducted, died in the forest despite a 72-hour rescue operation by security operatives. Our correspondent reports that the victims were working on their farms along Ondo-Ife Road when gunmen whisked them into a forest and demanded a N100 million ransom from their families. Fear grips Ondo residents as gunmen abduct two farmers

Gunmen have abducted two farmers in Parubber Community, Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State. Sources said the victims were ambushed on their farms on Monday and taken into the bush by the assailants. Pastor Yemi Omowale, one of the farmers who escaped the attack, said the incident had been reported to the police and Amotekun Corps. Amotekun Nabs 97 Suspects, Exposes Kidnap Syndicate Informants in Ondo
