22-year-old tenant allegedly killed by Landlord’s son in Ondo

A 22-year-old woman, Joy Tale, has tragically lost her life following an alleged attack by her landlord’s son, Odunayo Olomolatan, 41, in Ode-Irele, Irele Local Government Area of Ondo State.

Reports indicate that the incident occurred on Monday after a heated argument between Tale and Olomolatan.

The confrontation is said to have escalated, resulting in the fatal attack.

Olayinka Ayanlade, the spokesperson for the Ondo State Police Command, confirmed the incident in a conversation with the news men.

He stated that the suspect has been arrested and is currently in custody at the Divisional Police Headquarters in Ode-Irele.

“Yes, the young woman was allegedly attacked and killed during a dispute with her landlord’s son.

The suspect is in custody, and we are conducting a full investigation to understand what led to her death,” Ayanlade said.

In response to the tragic incident, Olajide Akinfe, Chairman of Irele Local Government Area, urged the community to remain calm and allow the authorities to carry out their investigation.

He confirmed that he visited the police station and reassured the public that steps would be taken to ensure justice is served.

The police have promised a comprehensive investigation to uncover the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
