The management of music legend King Sunny Ade has refuted claims that the icon is either missing or in poor health. In an official statement released on Tuesday, the musician, born Dr. Sunday Adeniyi-Adegeye, denied allegations made by his daughter, Damilola Esther Adeniyi-Adegeye, alleging he had been kidnapped or was unwell. “Contrary to the falsehood and fabricated news dated April 28, 2025, peddled by Damilola Esther Adeniyi-Adegeye and her associates, I hereby state as follows: I am alive and well,” the statement read. The 77-year-old Juju music legend thanked fans for their concern and reassured the public that he is safe. He also warned bloggers and individuals spreading false information about him to desist or risk legal action.
