The Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Finance and Administration, Lagos State Police Command, DCP Khan Salihu is dead. The command’s spokesperson, SP Ambimbola Adebisi disclosed this in a statement.
According to the statement, the DCP passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026. Ambimbola described the deceased as a “highly dedicated, disciplined, and committed senior police officer who served the Nigeria Police Force with exceptional professionalism, loyalty, and integrity”. “Throughout his distinguished career, DCP Khan Salihu exemplified diligence, exemplary leadership, and an unwavering commitment to duty.
“His wealth of experience, administrative acumen, and invaluable contributions greatly enhanced the effective management and operational efficiency of the Lagos State Police Command. “The news of his demise came as a profound shock and a painful loss to the officers and men of the Command.
“The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Olaiwola Fatai on behalf of the entire officers and men of the Command, extends heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, colleagues, and loved ones of the deceased during this difficult time ” she said.

Some residents of Ilu-Abo and Eleyowo communities in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State are abandoning their homes to escape being kidnapped and killed by bandits who seem to be taking over the communities in a recent wave of abductions. An Ikeja Special Offences and Domestic Violence Court yesterday sentenced four men to 14 years imprisonment for armed robbery. The Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has summoned the Awujale kingmakers of Ijebu-Ode to the Command Headquarters in Eleweran for questioning, beginning from Monday.There are nine Awujale kingmakers in Ijebu-Ode, including the Regent of Ijebuland; the Ogbeni Oja, Chief Sunny Kuku; Chief Adebisi Adaran; Chief Abimbola Okenla and Balogun Agboola Alausa.
