Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has received commendation following the presentation of several development projects executed by the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission across oil-producing communities in the state.
The projects, which span infrastructure, education, healthcare, youth empowerment, and economic development, were showcased as part of ongoing efforts to improve living conditions in the commission’s mandate areas, particularly in Ilaje and Ese-Odo Local Government Areas.

Speaking on the achievements, Governor Aiyedatiwa reiterated his administration’s commitment to ensuring that oil-producing communities benefit from sustainable development and improved public services. He noted that OSOPADEC has been repositioned to deliver projects that directly impact the lives of residents.
Among the projects highlighted are road construction and rehabilitation initiatives, educational support programmes, community development projects, and interventions aimed at boosting economic activities in riverine communities. The commission has also undertaken initiatives focused on youth empowerment and agricultural development.

Stakeholders and community leaders praised the governor’s support for OSOPADEC, noting that several long-awaited projects are now receiving attention. They expressed optimism that continued investment in infrastructure and social programmes would accelerate development across the state’s oil-producing areas.
The governor reaffirmed that his administration would continue collaborating with relevant agencies and community stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of projects that improve livelihoods and drive economic growth in the coastal region.
