The Lagos state environmental department destroyed goods worth several millions of Naira yesterday at the under bridge, International Trade fair along Badagry express way.

The traders marketing and selling their goods beside the road at under bridge suffered a huge loss of money yesterday when the Lagos state task force from the department of environment forcefully set goods worth of several millions ablaze in the presence of the owners and scores of traders who didn’t want to allow the officers do away with their goods were arrested and locked up inside their vehicles while others were running helter-skelter inside the heavy rain yesterday.
Some of the traders who are majorly the Igbos hustled and struggled to safe some of their goods when they were carrying some the goods on their heads and taking some in trucks for safety.
Ayemafuge interrogated one of the officers of the task force who refused to give his name and refused to be captured on camera to know the reason why they did this to the traders.

He said the government of Lagos state had informed those people selling under the bridge at Trader fair, people in Iyana-iba, Alaba rago and so on to desisit from selling their goods along the road for environmental reasons but refused to heed to the long warnings.
“Since they didn’t respect the directives from the Lagos state government, we were directed to carry out these operations
“We did the same thing in Alaba rago some weeks back, the same thing in Iyana-iba and now here
“Lagos state government is not joking with her environmental policies. The government has decided to tidy up her environments, hence the clearing of those unlawful spots where people had chosen to do their trades along our roads and the operation still continues until we get rid of the traders away from the unlawful spots where they selling their goods”, he said.

Since that time, he has dedicated three months to traveling across Nigeria, observing domestic league matches, and engaging with his players based in Europe. However, his initial team selection remained perplexing. Chelle opted for a highly offensive formation in Kigali, which appeared unbalanced on paper. Victor Osimhen, Samuel Chukwueze, Ademola Lookman, and Moses Simon were all included in the attacking lineup, while Alex Iwobi and Wilfred Ndidi occupied the midfield positions. "I had mixed feelings. […]
